Do you have a showroom & what are the hours?

Yes, our office and showroom are located at:

Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Additional showroom hours are available by appointment.

Do you service all makes & models?

Yes, our technicians are fully trained to service all makes and models of garage doors and commercial overhead doors.

Are you open on holidays?

We are closed on all major holidays, including New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, the 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

What different types of garage door springs are there?

Extension: Stretches across the back of the garage beside the track. See pictures below of the spring and how it would look in a garage.

Torsion: Positioned against the header above the door with the shaft going through it. See pictures below of the spring and how it would look in a garage.

TorqueMaster: Housed inside a tube that's positioned against the header above the door. See pictures below of the spring and how it would look in a garage.

How do I measure my torsion spring?

  • For Wire Size: Count 10 coils and measure. A coil is considered one width of the wire, as it winds around to create a circle.
  • For Inside Diameter: Measure the hollow area inside of the spring between coils.
  • For Length: Measure complete spring coil to coil without cones.

How do I measure my extension spring?

  • For Wire Size: Count 10 coils and measure. A coil is considered one width of the wire, as it winds around to create a circle.
  • For Inside Diameter: Measure the inside of the spring between coils.
  • For Length: Measure complete spring coil to coil without ends. It is also helpful to know the height of the door.

Do garage door remotes have batteries?

Yes, there can be a range of different types depending on the remote manufacturer.

How often should general maintenance be done?

We recommend twice a year.

What type of lube should be used on my garage door?

There are different options and opinions out there on what to use. We recommend a product called GetSome1000, which is the same lubricant that our techs use.

Where do I lube my garage door?

We recommend lubricating the moving parts such as the rollers, hinges, and springs.

Do garage door operators need to have safety sensors?

Yes, it's mandatory by law to have them installed.

Where should my garage door operator Safety-Eyes be located for a residential application?

Zero to six inches from the floor.

What should my door opening size be?

Please see our Framing Detail Diagram below for more information.

  • Opening Height: Same as door height or slightly smaller (never greater than door height)
  • Opening Width: Same as door width or slightly smaller (never greater than door width)
